Grit and Perseverance

Kia Ora Bloggers and welcome back to my blog, this week for reading we were learning about Grit and Perseverance. I created a google drawing about Grit and Perseverance. On my google drawing I have what I already knew about Grit and Perseverance and what I now know. My google drawing also has a little story on when I used Grit and Perseverance. There are a lot of famous athletes out there who use Grit and Perseverance like Sophie Pasco and Usain Bolt. Grit and Perseverance is about not giving up and keep on going.

When have you used Grit and Perseverance?

Here is my google drawing explaining what Grit and Perseverance is.

Thank you for looking on my blog this week BYE!

  1. Kia Ora Ari,
Well done on explaining about grit and perseverance. I also liked reading about your own experience trying to nail a back walkover and juggling. I am sure you will achieve these goals.
You are right in saying that you need a plan and also an end goal and with grit and perseverance anything is achievable.
When I was a lot younger, I used to do a lot of running at a high level and some days I didn’t feel like training. But having grit and perseverance and definitely a plan, I could stick to it and work hard to win the race or be selected in the team.
Can you think of a time where you may have used grit and perseverance in the classroom?

    1. Kia Ora Kirstin,
Thank you for looking on my blog this week. I used Grit and Perseverance in the classroom when I got a really hard Math question and I didn't know the answer at first and then I made a plan on ways I could figure the answer out. When was a time when you used grit and perseverance in the classroom?
      Thanks
      Ari

    3. Hi Neve,
Thank you for replying! Yes you would definitely need grit and perseverance if you are going to a sports competition because you will need to have a plan and when you are training you will need to know that you are not going to get it the first time.
Have you been having fun in lockdown?

  4. Kia Ora Ari,
What a great few ways of you showing grit and perseverance. I think that you really understand grit and perseverance. Well I have showed grit and perseverance when I was doing jump jam and I thought to myself that I was not going to give up because I was in a team and I didn't want to let the team down. Maybe next time you could add a wee bit more colour or some pictures. But other than that that is an amazing blog post. I also love how you added a lot of writing into your intro and it really did draw me into reading your poster about grit and perseverance. I thought putting in Sophie Pascoe was a great idea because she definelty would of have to use grit and perseverance. Who is your favourite athlete that is in the Paralympics? Mine is probably Sophie Pascoe or Lisa Adams.
    Keep up the amazing work!!
